Iodophore 80- 3% Iodine-based teat dip
Iodophore 80 defined as a complex of iodine and a carrier molecule resulting in a complex povidone-iodine mixture; upon dilution, the PVP-iodine complex is weakened, thereby releasing free iodine and increasing the equilibrium level of free iodine. This is thought to be a result of the dispersion of micellular aggregates. The free iodine acts as a powerful disinfectant for udder in pre & post milking.
Characteristics
A minimum of 3% titratable Iodine-based teat dip with a blend of emollients that keep the udder healthy and soft. Ideal fordisinfecting the udder in pre- and postmilking operation.A considerable number of microbespenetrate the interior of the udder aftermilking through the orifice of the teat, whichstays open between 15 to 30 minutes. To prevent such contamination teats must be dipped in Iodophore80.
